Getting Started with PMON
What You'll Need
» A Host computer system (UNIX or MSDOS)
» A Target board
To run an application program on your Target using PMON, perform the
following steps:
» If you haven't done so already,
Download
the PMON source from the Web site.
» Next you need to Extract the files
from the archive.
» To configure the package you need to run the
Install program. The following table
provides a summary of the target types you need for each
evaluation board.

» To prepare the package for use you must
Build the package.
» Configure your hardware.
PMON requires an RS232 link between your host and port A on the Target.
The actual hardware port name
will depend on which host and Target you
will be using.
» Build,
Download and Execute your application on the Target.
