The compare Command

The compare command compares the contents of two memory areas.
|
|
|
|
Format
|
|
|
|
The format of the compare command is:
|
|
|
|
compare adr1 adr2 siz
|
|
|
|
where:
|
|
|
|
adr1 specifies the start address of the first memory area.
|
|
|
|
adr2 specifies the start address of the second memory area.
|
|
|
|
siz is the size of the block of memory to be compared.
|
|
This quantity is specified in bytes.
|
|
|
|
Functional Description
|
|
|
|
The compare command compares each byte in the two memory areas. Any
|
|
bytes that are different are displayed with the address, the expected
|
|
value, and the actual value read.
|
|
|
|
Examples
|
|
|
|
» This example shows how to compare two blocks of memory, 8 Kbytes in
|
|
size. The first block has a base address of 0x80020000, the second
|
|
block starts at 0x80060000.
|

|
|
